So, we went to pick up Kayleigh from daycare today and she is in total "drama queen" mode! Both teachers comment..."Yea, she's been a little "emotional" all day. We think she's teething." Kayleigh looks up and automatically shoves her thumb to the back gums. Mind you, she's not a thumb sucker, so that's not what she was doing. We grabbed her blankie and binkie and she was perfect! Poor baby!!!
Not that I want to jinx our house over the next few days, weeks, months...but Kayleigh's a pretty good teether...4 in less than a week for her first ones. So...please, please, please...let this go as easily as the first!
So...anyone have good home remedies, tricks or stories of their little ones teething!?!
We use tylenol and teething gel. We also have a teething ring that goes in the refridgerator or freezer that Emelyn loves to chew on. Glad it is going so well for you. Teething was easier on Olivia than it is on Emelyn.
ReplyDeleteWe just got our One year molars in and they have given us the most problem. They decided to make their appearance at Christmas time and were accompanied by a fever. One night, we blame on teething we'd been up for 2 going on 3 hours, given her everything we had in the house as far as medicine, cold rag, teething tablets, orajel...etc. Finally decided to load her up in the car and drive to Osceola. She was asleep before we hit the highway (but we kept driving anyway) so when we returned home we unhooked the carseat and took carseat and Aylah into the house together to sleep for the rest of the night! GOODLUCK with the teeth. I'm ready for them to be here and be done!= Susannah
ReplyDeleteNicole--that's what we've been doing so far! And so far so good!
ReplyDeleteSusannah--Aylah is definately going through these faster that Kayleigh...she only has 4 in. We are thinking that the one year molars are what are bugging her. She's really been biting on her fingers back there. However, they seem to have gone back down...no crabby girl, lately. Hopefully I didn't just jinx that!
